Good afternoon. Attention all MS families. An update regarding the inappropriate emails. Our tech department has put a block on all external emails and Google Drive sharing. Currently the 8th grade girls are the only ones to have received the emails so the tech department had us wipe out any related emails and their drive. In addition, the Google legal department has been notified and the Missoula County Sheriff Department has a report on file and will be in touch as they gather information. We will monitor the situation closely. Please reach out with any questions.
Good morning SLE families. We performed a lockdown drill this morning at 10:25. The drill provided all the opportunity to practice the procedure and for me to see what is missing or needs adjusting. All did a great job! Please reach out with any questions or concerns. Thank you.
Attention MS families. The tech team and myself are aware of the inappropriate emails circulating. The emails are an outside source causing the issues. The tech team is working diligently to keep these messages from happening but we are still seeing them appear. Right now it has been limited to 8th grade but I want all to be aware of the situation. If your child gets a strange email, encourage them to show you, please do not open them and then notify us. Thank you.
Upcoming events at SLE! Next week we will have the “Great Defrost Dress-Up” week. We will end the week with a STEAM family engagement night on March 26th. Join us for food as well as science activities for all ages. No cost. Reach out with any questions or additional details. Have a great evening.
Attention all SLE families. Boilers have been up and running, except #2, for over an hour. The mechanical company has found a problem with #2 and will return with additional tools to finalize the exact problem which caused the CO leak. Please reach out with any questions.
Attention SLE families. Mechanical arrived about 12 and had checked all systems before firing up the boilers. We have all but one fired up as it has some residue they are checking further. 5-8 students are still in the other wing and moving with their day. We will not move students back into that wing until everything is up and running with all checks completed. Please reach out with any questions. Thank you.
Attention all SLE families. The fire department has checked the entire building and the building is now clear of CO. The rest of the building didn’t have any CO from the beginning so that is where all students were sent. We are waiting for our mechanical company to arrive to assess the issue and until then no one will enter the 5-8 wing. Our boilers are still off but our inside temp is good. If the mechanical company cannot get the boiler back up and running we will discuss the next step. Please watch for updates.

Attention all SLE families. We have lost power but our classrooms have natural light so we are proceeding as normal. We have a system in place for all students to eat lunch in their classroom. 4th grade family luncheon has been canceled.
