Football and volleyball start Monday, August 28th. Girls should be dressed out and on the court at 3:15. Football will practice 5:00 - 6:30. Please remember that all athletes must have a current physical to participate in practice. We still encourage students to attend practice to observe even if they don't have a physical. Schedules will be sent out on the first day of practice.

Back to School! SLE Students and Families, School is just around the corner! We are excited to welcome everyone back to another great year of school. This year our school theme is "The Hero Within". We are excited to help our students and staff shine the "Hero Within". Below are some important information for the first weeks of school. Open House: Tuesday, August 29th; 5:30 - 6:30 First day of school: Wednesday, August 30th School Day: 8:00 am - 3:10 pm First day of sports: Volleyball: Monday, August 28th; 3:15 - 5:30 Football: Monday, August 28th; 5:00 - 6:30 ALL athletes need to have a physical before they can practice. Physical forms are available at the office.

School supplies lists! It is understood that school supply lists are long and expensive. Purchase what you are able to, but know that your child will not go without during class time. We have a supply available to use.

Our summer reading and math program starts next week. We encourage any student to attend. You will register you child the first day you bring them. Students don't have to attend all days.

CORRECTION: Adventure Club: drop kids at the Clearwater Canoe Trail Put-in at 10:00 and pick up at the ranger station Take-out at 2:30 tomorrow (7/13). There is signage off the highway. It’s past the ranger district a little ways and the forest service sign says canoe trail. You’ll wind down the dirt road until the end. The take out is the ranger district.

Reminder that outdoor adventure starts tomorrow. You can register your child when you show up. Please sign up/drop off kids at the lunch too @ 9:00am tomorrow. Monday and Tuesday activities run from 9:00 am - 3:00 pm, starting and ending at SLE. On Thursdays (kayaking and paddleboarding days), parents will drop kids off at 10:00 and pick up at 2:30 at the scheduled location (River Point, Seeley Campground, Clearwater Canoe Trail Put-in), Big Larch Campground). Parents/guardians must sign a waiver when registering their child/ren for Adventure Club. Participants must bring a lunch, snack, sunscreen, and two bottles of water in a sturdy backpack. Please dress in layers for the changing mountain weather. No sandals for hikes. Water shoes and towels are recommended on water days. Things NOT to bring on any outing: A knife (trip leaders will have utility tools) Bear spray (trip leaders will each carry it) Electronic gadgets (cell phones, ipods, electronic toys, etc. -- Adventure Club is time to UNPLUG!) Parents are asked to contact adult leaders if they need to get a message to their children.

**PLAYGROUND CLOSED** Seeley lake Community, The SLE playground is closed until further notice, this includes basketball courts. Please stay out of this area during construction. The baseball field are still accessible. (Take advantage of the new Lions club park and the HS basketball court during this time.) Thank you for your patience as we take on this project. For the people interested in their old artwork squares or fence pieces with names. Those should be available to pickup next week. We are sad to see this great playground come down but it was time to come down. The new playground will be installed and ready before next school year.

**To Clarify** The pot luck is for students only. We want to make sure they are fed before they preform. SLE families, You are invited to the Pops Concert on Tuesdays, May 30th. Below is information and flier. 1. The concert starts at 6:30, but kids need to come early for rehearsal. The schedule is on the attachment. 2. The theme is Throwback Thursday, so kids can dress up like a previous decade, but they don't have to. 3. 5th grade doesn't need to bring food unless they will eat here.
